Increased focus on development issues and constructive policy discussions on Internet security, openness and privacy initiatives are among recommendations put forth on behalf of business to ensure that the annual Internet Governance Forum (IGF) remains the most effective Internet-policy related event of the year.

Paris, 19 January  ICC today released its recommendations to governments and regulators, to contribute to a successful ITU 2012 World Conference on International Telecommunications (WCIT-12), which should result in an agreement that fosters the ongoing development of global telecom markets.

Paris, 20 October 2011  The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) today called for governments and regulators to accelerate efforts to allocate and assign adequate spectrum to support the ever-increasing demand for mobile broadband.

UN Under Secretary General’s letter confirms strong business input into Internet Governance Forum preparations
26 May 2011  ICC and its Business Action to Support the Information Society initiative have welcomed the recent announcement by UN Under-Secretary-General, Sha Zukang confirming continued strong representation of business in the Multistakeholder Advisory Group that will steer preparations for the 6th Internet Governance Forum.
